ADVENTURE HONEYMOONS

An increasingly popular option for honeymoons is something with an element of adventure. And if you like, we can add a few days on a beach or at a spa destination for some relaxation time too.

When it comes to honeymoons, everyone’s different. After all the excitement of getting married, some people simply want to flop on a gorgeous beach somewhere idyllic. For others, it’s all about taking your first true adventure together as newly weds.

You could take a road trip around California, go on Safari in Africa, or go camping in the desert under more stars than you’ve ever seen before. Whatever you’re after, we can make it as adventurous as you like, and add in a few days’ relaxation somewhere if you want some down-time too. As everything we do is tailor-made to your exact requirements, almost anything’s possible.

SAFARI HONEYMOONS

A safari is the feeling you get when hearing your first lion roar echoing across the plains. It’s coming across animals you’ve never set eyes on before, and wildlife you’ve always wanted to see. And, it’s sitting out around the campfire at night, sharing your day’s experiences beneath a sky glittering with constellations.

Whether it’s your first safari or the mark of a return to Africa, Tikiti will plan a trip that captures everything you’re looking for. We can arrange experiences that show you the bush in a new light, from walking safaris that focus on the wider ecosystem to boat trips that get you close to elephant, hippo and birdlife.

And, a big part of a safari is about where you stay. We work with the best camps and lodges across Africa, from simple tented camps to opulent lodges with the height of facilities, dining and service.

ROAD TRIPS

Sun-kissed, bountiful and beautiful – from Napa Valley to the high Sierra Nevada, California isn’t just a place, it’s a force of nature. And it has the diversity, size and economy that would be remarkable in a country, let alone a single American State.

California’s coast is a roll-call of famous cities, interspersed with gorgeous, surfer-friendly beaches. Travel down California’s coast from north to south on famous Highway 1 and you’ll hit cities and sights: San FranciscoSan Jose, Monterey and Santa Cruz are followed by the wave-tugged wilderness of Big Sur, then it’s cities again: Santa Barbara, Malibu and extroverted Los Angeles. Keep going south, and you’ll be rewarded by the sunny delights of San Diego. Wherever your California trip takes you, start by booking your holiday with Tikiti Travel.

ICELANDIC ADVENTURES

Iceland is for adventurers. It’s lengthy list of attractions includes the spectacular Northern Lights in the wintertime (stay at Ion for an impeccable viewpoint), seemingly endless opportunities for trekking, riding the country’s famously tiny but strong horses, exploration of caves, volcanos, ice fields and glaciers; and steamy hot springs and lagoons—the Retreat at Blue Lagoon is the place to sleep and play at the most iconic of them all, with a spa built into the volcanic earth and a five-star restaurant. The land of fire and ice may be cold, but there’s enough adrenaline and romance to keep you hot.

CAPPADICA, TURKEY

What could be more magical and adventurous than spending the night in a cave? Of course, the caves at Yunak Evleri in Cappadocia, Turkey, are incredibly plush—no need to worry about hibernating bears here. It's where you'll want to be to participate in the fantastical ritual of hot-air ballooning at sunrise. Other outings include exploring the ancient national park's desert on horseback, which is strewn with fairy chimneys and natural rock formations, or cycling through vineyards and valleys.

GOLDEN TRIANGLE, THAILAND

While there are no shortage of opportunities for adventure on a honeymoon in Thailand, one of its most remote regions worth discovering is the mystical Golden Triangle, where Thailand shares a border with Laos and Myanmar. Rescued elephants cohabit the grounds of the Four Seasons Golden Triangle property, which features just 15 seriously luxurious tented accommodations. Pack your daypack for jungle adventures including foraging walks, up-close elephant encounters, private journeys by boat, and all-wheel drive vehicles into the untamed wilderness and some truly stunning temple sites.
