Idylls of Indonesia

Bali and Lombok are among South East Asia’s most sought-after destinations and this 13 day itinerary features both. At the heart of Bali you will find Ubud, your first stop on a holistic and cultural journey, with optional wellness treatments and sightseeing, followed by the scenic spectacles of Bali’s coast including a temple that appears to float on water. The trip will conclude with a few days in Lombok, where you can delve into the tropical island interior, visit key sights and even swing by a monkey forest.

Itinerary Includes

DAY 1

London to Bali

On arrival in Bali you will be met at Denpasar Airport and transferred to Ubud for a 3 night stay at COMO Uma Ubud; a blissful chic retreat focused on holistic wellness with active pursuits.

DAY 2

Ubud, Bali

This morning you will participate in a private half day Ubud Art and Culture Tour. Step into the cultural heartland of the island with a visit to Neka Art Museum, displaying a wonderful collection including the UNESCO recognised keris daggers. You will then stroll through central Ubud, with its shops and bustling markets, before ending the tour with a visit to Ubud Palace. The remainder of the afternoon is free to spend at leisure.

DAY 3

Ubud, Bali

Spend the day enjoying the peace and tranquillity of COMO Uma Ubud, perhaps taking part in a complimentary guided walk to explore the majestic surrounds, go cycling or opt for another inspiring excursion, followed by a restorative treatment in the COMO Shambhala Retreat.

DAY 4

Ubud to Seminyak, Bali

Depart Ubud for a scenic drive to the coast, where you will stay for 5 nights at The Legian Bali. Set on lively Seminyak Beach, this oceanfront hotel offers guests a sophisticated stay in a prime location.

DAY 5

Seminyak, Bali

Embark on a private full day tour that will take you from the central highlands to sunset at Tanah Lot plus other highlights along the way. Begin by driving north to scenic Bedugul Regency and three Caldera lakes, where you will also see the Hindu Shivaite water temple, which sometimes appears to float on water. Stop at the village of Asah Gobleg and then onto Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest, home to hundreds of macaque monkeys, before heading to the sacred Tanah Lot temples, set offshore and only accessible at low tide. Arriving in time for sunset, the temple offers wonderful photographic opportunities.

DAY 6 to 8

Seminyak, Bali

Spend these days as you wish, basking in all that your beachfront resort has to offer. While away hours on the sand or by the pool, try surfing or diving in the crystal waters, play golf nearby or retreat to The Spa.

DAY 9

Bali to Lombok

Today you will be transferred back to Bali’s Denpasar Airport for a short flight to Lombok. On arrival you will be met and driven to The Oberoi, Lombok for a 4 night stay.

DAY 10

Lombok

Get closer to the spirit of Lombok with a private full day tour taking you into the heart of the island. Delve into the forest interior, witnessing waterfalls and rice terraces plus some important historical sights. Head north, passing through undulating hills to Pusak monkey forest, then onto Sendanggile waterfall at the foot of Mount Rinjani. View the 300 year old mosque at Bayan village, visit the sacred tombs of King Selaparang and Maha Patih Gajah Mada before finishing the tour at Lemor forest reserve with glorious views.

DAY 11 to 12

Lombok to London (Via Singapore)

Today you will be collected from the hotel and transferred back to Lombok Airport for your return flight to the UK, via Singapore.
